Priscilla of Boston, Vineyard collection, Maeve Wedding dress
This is the first and only wedding dress I ever tried on. I knew if I got married that I had to have a Priscilla of Boston dress. Sadly, Priscilla of Boston is now out of business, although I do believe Davids Bridal now has line, similar to the line of Vera Wang which they carry.
From the Priscilla of Boston Vineyard Collection, "Maeve" is an amazingly beautiful dress crafted from exquisite ivory silk taffeta. It is strapless with a voluminous ballroom skirt with hidden pockets, a side bow and medium/short train. (It was featured on "Say Yes to The Dress" in Episode 5.) This dress was originally $2600 . The fit is amazing, I typically do not wear strapless clothing the bodices is constructed that is stays put, and it is so comfortable. Due to aline shape, flares out at hip/abdomen, leaving sizing rooom
This dress is pre- owned, sold as is, to another bride to be who wishes to save some money, and wear a timeless, classic dress. I was so excited to put this dress on, I wore it the entire day, and hated to take it off late that night when we finally were done celebrating. Worn for about 9 hours.
Asking $800 plus $20 for shipping (if needed!) , as it is heavy. It will be shipped well-packaged in a large box.
Rehearsal Dinner, Rehearsal or Reception dress-The Dress at Priscilla of Boston
I bought this lovely short cocktail style dress from a bride on Weddingbee.com. She wore it for her rehearsal. I bought to wear for one of our parties, but I did not have time to have it taken in before the party. It is a size 2 and fit me nearly perfectly except I needed the waist/bust taken in, in order to wear it. Sadly, I did not have time. So, I am asking just what I paid the other seller for this beautiful dress.
It is pre owned, worn once by the person I bought if from. It was dry cleaned by the original seller, and remains clean in excellent condition. It was only worn by me to try on.I do note that some of the beading detail at the flowers on bust appears a bit loose, but I am not sure if this is how it was originally or due to wear. I was OK with it and intended to wear it as is.

- The size tag has been removed but I believe it
is a size 2 or 4, which has been taken in to about a size 2 at the waist/ribs area. It fits me like my other special occasion dresses I own from J Crew that are a size 2 . I am 5'5" and about 118lb
- Slight alteration/cutting away to tulle in the
front for walking.
- Simple but strong 1 button American style bustle added- which truly
suits this dress.
- Small matching silk
buttons added down the entire length of dress.
- No alterations to length. I wore
it with 3 in heels, I am 5ft 5in.
- Corset-type bra upper with boning structure came in dress. Alterations added sewn in (but removable) bra cups.
- Ivory/creamy
off white color.
- Bow to front is original, but appears removable.
- Pockets.
- Gorgeous, crisp silk taffeta. Extensive layers of tulle underneath, with lining layer between legs and tulle for comfort.
- Has been professionally dry cleaned
- NOTE: There are
some dirt spots on the bottom of the train, hem and a few spots on the hem
which did not completely come out in cleaning. I can tell you that the second you walk around in/wear
the dress the bottom will become quite dirty. These spots were not noticeable
when the dress was worn by me as they are on the bottom. They are not very noticeable, but Please ask if you would like additional close up pics to be certain this is the dress for you --
as I am selling this dress in PRE-OWNED CONDITION, AS IS. Some people are OK with slight/small imperfections that may come with something pre-owned. If you are not, then this is not the dress for you.
